Die Striking Method of Creating Jewelry
Die striking is a centuries-old technique of making jewelry. Highly demanding in terms of jeweler’s skill and expertise, this technique is not favorable for the mass production, which has brought it on the verge of extinction. For small batch jewelers like myself, I am able to create beautiful, one of a kind pieces.
A lot of the steel dies i use have come from all over the world and some have even survived world wars, when steel was being scrapped for war efforts. Not only are these pieces unique and beautiful but they also hold a lot of history.
